Get Answers about High Definition Tv(Ask a New Question)Featured Questions on BetterDefinition.comIm looking to get a high definition tv for the first time and Im not sure what I should be looking for. My budget is around $1000 and Im hoping to get something 38" or larger. Ive seen the Olevia brand tvs at Target and the price and size are right, but concerned with quality.
So, if you could recomend a few differnt brand names that are in that same price and size range.
Thanks! :)

So we know that by law, all TVs should switch to high definition or digital or whatever. Will normal DVDs be better in terms of quality in HD TV?

Why are here so few stand-alone high definition tv tuners for monitors and why do they cost so much?
There are many monitors made that have high resolution, but there are so few stand-alone tv tuners to make them into high definition tvs. Is this deliberate so we will pay a fortune for the High defintion tvs. Converting a monitor to HD is much cheaper. But the HD tuners are so expensive- higher than the monitors themselves. There are many ad-on conversion cards for the computer for tv but I don't want to run the computer every time I want to watch tv. Is there a low cost high definition stand-alone tv tuner? Let me know.
